Virgin Beach, known locally as Pantai Pasir Putih or Perasi Beach, is a white-sand cove in Perasi village, near Candidasa in East Bali. On a coast dominated by dark volcanic sand, its pale shore and turquoise water stand out, and it has become one of the most popular beaches in the region. The setting is rural, with hills and palms rising right behind the sand.
The beach was long known mainly to locals and fishermen, and its English name reflects its once-undeveloped character. Today it has simple warungs and sunbed rentals, but it retains a relaxed, rural feel. Colorful jukung boats line the sand, and fishermen still work from the beach. The water is generally calm, with coral close to shore for snorkeling.
The approach is through a quiet rural lane before the bay appears, backed by green hills and coconut palms. On the sand, the turquoise water is inviting, and snorkelers explore the reef just offshore. The beach can get busy at weekends, but on weekday mornings it is peaceful, with only the sound of the waves and the occasional boat.
